The latest details for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will feature a open beta test soon and "Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken" not added to the sequel.
Game producer Masayuki Hirano share several interesting details for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" during the Gamescom 2016 event as he stated what is in and out for the upcoming sequel. Hirano explained the length of story within "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is expected to be the same as the first game, but it will have more in-game features and quest for gamers to enjoy and prolong its longevity.
Another feature will be the return of the World Tournament mode in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" as Bandai Namco will prioritize it first in its early development.
As for the feature that were not added in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2". Bandai Namco revealed that characters with different forms such as Kid Goku, or the second forms of both Frieza and Cell will not be added to the roster. Majin Buu's different absorbed forms will also not be included into the sequel.
Lastly, Son Goku's recent transformation the "Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken" will not be added into "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" as the form was not recently been seen since the "Universe 6 and 7 tournament" arc in "Dragon Ball Super" anime TV show. Son Goku first used this form against Hit in order to keep up with his time manipulation powers.
Even though these character forms are not in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Hirano promises that the team will add them in if enough fans request them, Attack of the Fanboy reported.
In other news, Bandai Namco announced an open beta test for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" as they promise more details about its mechanics and release date soon.
"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" introduces a new game mode called "Expert Mission" were in gamers will team-up to do a mission online. There will be six players in the game mode as they fight a gigantic NPC player such a great ape Vegeta or Bardock. In addition, the single-player features twice the number of quests than the first "Xenoverse" game, parallel quests from the original game, and a new system for rare item drops, which contain costumes and accessories for their characters.
Bandai Namco also announced that Majin Vegeta will be added to the roster joining the likes of Future Gohan, Lord Slug, Android 16, Imperfect Cell etc, IGN reported.
Hirano previoulsy teased the possibility of having "Dragon Ball Super" episodes in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" as he and Bandai Namco plans to add more free updates and paid DLC for the sequel.
Bandai Namco looks to improve the online content for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" so that gamers from around the world can interact and play with one another, whether doing quest and fighting in tournaments.
"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will launch on Oct. 25 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms
