The latest details and possible spoilers for "Dragon Ball Super" will feature Future Trunks becoming a Super Saiyan Blue and English dub version being cancelled.
Several rumors are making rounds regarding the status of an English dub version of "Dragon Ball Super" as many anime fans believed that it come sometime this year. However, the official Twitter page of Toonami tweeted that they are still chasing after the approval of the anime showrunners and will announce an update from regarding the English dub version.
"Dragon Ball Super" is the first major Dragon Ball series in nearly two decades and considering the immense success of shows like "Dragon Ball Z" across the world. The anime show already had a tleast 50 episodes and is popularity grew in Japan and fans are hoping for a Western dub anytime soon, Forbes reported.
The show is currently on a new story arc called the "Future Trunks" saga were in Future Trunks from the "Android" and "Cell" arc returns seeking help from Son Goku and Vegeta in defeating a new villain called Black Goku.
Black Goku or simply Black in the new arc resembles a Son Goku, but purely evil and malicious as he has killed several humans in Trunks' timeline including Future Bulma. The previous episode of "Dragon Ball Super" also introduced a new and unique transformation called "Super Saiyan Rose", an evil counter part of the "Super Saiyan Blue" that both Son Goku and Vegeta currently possesses.
Several reports and speculations claim that Future Trunks will be the one to defeat Black as he will likely master the Super Saiyan Blue transformation. In one episode Vegeta trains Trunks how to be stronger as the latter witnessed his father's new power to him.
There also rumors that Son Gohan will join the fight against Black, as anime fans want to see the Gohan they all know and love as a powerful warrior with untapped potential in "Dragon Ball Z".
Gohan was not able to train properly due to his work and raising his family, but after the events of "Ressurection of F" Gohan asked Piccolo to train him again, thus giving fans hope that the old Gohan will return and be more powerful than before, GameNGuide reported.
For now, a trailer of episode 57 of "Dragon Ball Super" will feature both Son Goku and Future Trunks facing Black Goku and Zamasu in the future.
