'The Flash' Season 3 spoilers: Eddie Thawne, Ronnie Raymond, the original Harrison Wells to return to the show; Kevin Smith teases episode 3!

The Flash is a CW Network series developed by writer/producers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns.

New details and possible spoilers for "The Flash" season 3 will feature three returning characters and Kevin Smith teases episode 3 sequence.

Season 3 of "The Flash" TV series will feature a new alternate reality called "Flashpoint" after Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) prevented his mother's death at the hands of Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher). Having saved Nora Allan (Michelle Harrison), Barry changed his past and created a new present timeline were in his parents are well, Cisco Ramon/Vibe (Carlos Valdes) became a rich businessman, Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) becamed the speedster Kid Flash, and the Iris (Candce Peyton) and Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) did not know him on a personally level.

Executive Producer Todd Helbing teased that Barry Allen will likely meet familiar faces from previous seasons who have "passed" and a lot of "easter eggs" for the show. Fans speculated that these familar faces could be making there return in season 3 due to the "Flashpoint" effect such as Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett), Ronnie Raymond/Firestorm (Robbie Amell) and the original Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh), Screenrant reported. 

Eddie Thawn died during the season finale as he killed himself in order to sdefeat the Reverse-Flash and erase him from existance. Ronnie died stopping the singularity event between months before season 2 and an Eart 2 version of the character became the villain Deathstorm.

Lastly, the original Harrison Wells was killed by Eobard Thawne, taking his appearance and his plans for S.T.A.R. Labs and the particle accelarator in order to make Barry as The Flash. His Earth 2 counterpart was featured in season 2 helping Barry fight Zoom (Teddy Sears) and save his daughter , Jesse Chamber Wells (Violette Beane). 

In other news, writer and director Kevin Smith tease comic book fans about his take on episode 3 of "The Flash" season 3 as he tweeted that the episode will be more action-packed and fans will love it.

Smith previously directed the episode 21 of season 2 titled " The Runaway Dinosaur", which features Barry communicating with the speedster and accepted his mother's death along with a new resolve in defeating Zoom, ComicBook reported.

New villains for season 3 will feature Savitar, Dr. Alchemy and The Rival (Todd Lasance), Mirror Master (Grey Damon), Top (Ashley Rickards) and Magenta (Joey King).

"The Flash" season 3 will premiere on Oct. 4 at 8pm on the CW Network.
