Android 7.0-7.1 Nougat is the seventh major version of the Android operating system.

Android N, rechristened as Android 7.0 Nougat is a much-awaited technology by the gadget freaks and the release of it will bring a lot of cheer to them.

Earlier it was announced that Samsung, Sony and HTC have already announced that several of their handsets will be developed using the new OS by Google, and as per the latest updates, the new OS will be launched very soon. The profile-guided Just In Time (JIT) compiler will increase productivity of the handheld devices.

According to the official site, the development team has added the JIT compiler with code profiling to ART (Android Run Time), and the android apps will have a better performance if they are run on a device which runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. JIT compiler will replace the Ahead of Time (AOT) compiler of ART and will improve runtime performance and speed up app updates and system updates along with saving storage space too.

JIT works on the cache of the best performing methods and will pre compile and use them. It will leave the other parts of the app uncompiled until the user decides to use those features too.

The RAM footprint will be reduced thus reducing storage space. Low-memory devices will be particularly benefitted from this feature and the reduction in associated binary usage will automatically improve performance.

This feature will be easy on the battery life of the device too. The pre-compilation is done when the device is being charged and not in use. This in turn will save time for the user and since the work is done in advance, not while the user is using the device, the performance will automatically be enhanced.

The gadget lovers who love latest technology will be happy to know that Samsung Galaxy S7, S6 Edge, Note 5, Note 7, S6, S6 Edge Plus, S7 Edge, HTC One A9, One M9, and HTC 10 all will be launched using this new OS. According to the latest update on The Verge, latest Android 7.0 Nougat update has already been rolled out to several handsets and the market is waiting anxiously for the official release of it. Nexus Player, Pixel C, Android One, Nexus 9, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6 and Nexus 6P already have got this new OS.
