In the ever-changing world of technology, remaining ahead of ones competitors is the biggest challenge. Google is an innovation driven company and they are in the process of creating a new OS Android N for the mobile phones which is expected to bring a revolution in the world of mobile phones and the way mobile notifications work now.
The PC and laptop users have been demanding for a long time about the multi-screen feature which is not available on smart phones and voila, Google is in the process of releasing the same. According to the official website, there are many new features which the users can experience with Android N OS. Here is a snapshot-
1. Updating the templates - The hero image and avatar will be the new emphasis and the notification templates are being updated by the developers. They need not make much changes to the codes and can create new avatars using the existing templates.
2. MessageStyle class - Notifications are made simpler using this feature and the user can now configure the message, content view and conversation title using it. The user interface labels are user-friendly now.
3. Bundled notifications - Just like google mail and many other applications which allow the users to view all the messages sent in a string and bundled fashion, now this new OS will allow the users to do the same. A user can archive all the messages or delete all of them in one shot. The users who have used Android Wear already are familiar with this feature.
4. Reply Directly - Now the users can quickly respond to their smses and other communications apps using the notification interface.
5. Custom Views - Two new APIs are added to this OS which will enable the users to use the custom view in notifications.
As per the latest update on IT Pro, the firmware will be installed on more supported devices which will include the devices from OEM partners too. It was also confirmed that till date Google never released beta software for gadgets other than Nexus products.
It is now clear that Google is trying to reach out to larger audiences and partnering with other mobile manufacturers to make Andriod N available for other platforms too like Samsung, Sony, LG, HTC etc. Yibada will keep the readers aware of all the features and release date of this upcoming OS.
