Right now, more people want a specialist for even the smallest problems they might have.  While there is really nothing wrong with it, you might just find yourself spending more for problems that might actually have very simple solutions.  For example, if you only have minor skin problems, trying out the simple tips below on how to cure these issues first is more economical than heading to your dermatologist.

Rashes

Those who have rashes might just have skin that isn't properly nourished.  Maybe you aren't drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day.  Real Simple, an online lifestyle magazine, suggests virgin coconut oil as a soothing remedy for those who have rashes.  Aside from feeling better, virgin coconut oil has some anti-bacterial properties to cure rashes.

Prickly Heat

This is common when there is too much heat and humidity that comes along with the weather.  At the onset of having prickly heat, it is good to rub the infected skin areas with ice cube.  Also, you can make a cold compress and gently massage it on the part where irritation occurs.  Aloe Vera gel straight from the plant is also good for prickly heat.  It controls the itchy feeling and has excellent healing properties.  Neem leaves also have anti-bacterial properties that help in treating prickly heat.  Get a few neem leaves and grind these with a little water.  Apply the paste on the infected areas.

Athlete's Foot

This is a common condition for those who are working out in the gym.  Sadly, this is more common for men than women.   This is because men are more prone to be together in communal showers and locker rooms than women.  Usually, the infection starts in the spaces in between the toes, then it spreads to the toenails and eventually on the sides of the foot.

Men's Health online has a simple and economical solution to those who have athlete's foot.  This fungal infection can be treated by over-the-counter medications such as Lamisil-AT and Lotrimin-AF.  These medications are more inexpensive than the other anti-fungal creams and powders available.  Also, it works faster.  Make sure to wash and dry your feel two to three times a day and wear sandals more often to let your feet breathe.
