WWE Rumors: Update on the future of Paige; WWE has no plans for her return?

WWE superstar Paige arrives for WWE RAW at 02 Brooklyn Bowl on April 18, 2016.

Paige has been absent on WWE television due to injuries and her subsequent suspension after violating the company's Wellness Policy. The latest rumors have revealed a recent update on the future of Paige and it seems like the WWE has no plans for her possible return.

The 24-year-old was on her way to becoming one of the best women's wrestlers in the world but she recently suffered an injury to her shoulders and back, followed by a 30-day suspension She also got herself into an odd relationship with Alberto Del Rio, who recently got released by the WWE.

According to Sportskeeda, Paige's position in the company became rocky after her relationship with Del Rio became public. It is noted that the two-time Divas champion wants out of the WWE and she reportedly sought legal help.

Paige currently has a deal with the WWE until 2019 and the company will do all of its power to prevent her from wrestling in other companies. However, there is conflicting report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required).

"According to those with direct knowledge of her situation, she was basically in the same situation A.J. Lee was on when CM Punk left. At one point this week it did appear she was gone, right now that isn't the case, but it can change and the situation will be weird," Meltzer reported.

The difference between the Del Rio and CM Punk situation is that the Mexican superstar parted ways with the WWE in good terms. It should be mentioned that CM Punk was in a legal battle with WWE doctor Chris Amman during her departure.

Nevertheless, the WWE seems to have no plans for Paige even after her return from suspension on September 17. She is still part of the Raw roster and she should be used to help the division that has become stale due to a limited number of stars.

It was rumored before that Paige was potentially in-line for a big push and a big feud against Stephanie McMahon. However, the relationship with Del Rio put her in a bad position with the company's top officials.

The Norwich native still has a lot of potential to become one of the all-time greats but she has to sort her life together. Check out the video below for Paige's last appearance on WWE television before her suspension.
