Overwatch is a multiplayer first-person shooter game developed by Blizzard Entertainment for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.

New "Overwatch" details will feature the possible release date of Athena and Sombra, as wells as new upgrades for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions soon.

Blizzard Entertainment announced a new bandwidth update for "Overwatch" this week for the PC version, as the new upgrade will feature high quality online gameplay after several low connection feedbacks.

According to lead engineer Tim Ford and senior engineer Philip Orwig, the bandwidth update for "Overwatch" will allow a more stable and stronger online connection to PC users playing the game. Those with substandard connections will be moved into a lower-bandwidth grouping in order to keep their games smooth and reliable.

The interpolation delay which is responsible for rendering where each player is and how fast they are moving, has been reduced. This means that all heroes will now be rendered more accurately in their respective locations, rather than with a slight lag when playing online.

As for gamers with strong connections, the interpolation delay will be shortened by over by 50 percent, due to the new netcode incorporated into "Overwatch" in its latest update.

So far, Blizzard Entertainment is still figuring out how they will incorporate the bandwith update in the PS4 and Xbox One consoles, but will look to add the update to consoles soon, Express reported.

In other news, several rumors are making rounds regarding the possible release date fof two upcoming DLC characters in "Overwatch", namely Athena and Sombra.

The momentincrime site previously claimed that a little over 22 percent as of press time. An "Overwatch" observer estimated that the counter seems to increase by around 0.0038 percent every three minutes.

YouTube username Rykker added that the site's source code seemingly indicate that the timer is being updated manually, although the use of an outside script for updating is also possible. This resulted in Sombra's possible announcement and release date could happen on Oct. 16 or 17.

However, a different report claimed that Athena could come out first in "Overwatch" rather than Sombra. Athena will be sporting an Omnic body based from an old photo of the Overwatch team right before the organization disbanded. Her Omnic body will have a female shape with a single eye and a logo of her name on her head.

It has also been theorized that Athena may join "Overwatch" as a support for other heroes, other rumors stated that Athena could be released first before Sombra, iTechPost reported.

"Overwatch" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
