New "Overwatch" details will feature a possible release date for Sombra and a game tournament with a prize money of $75,000.
It seems like the possible launch date for the mysterious "Overwatch" character Sombra has been revealed as he momentincrime site currently indicates a little over 22 percent as of press time. An "Overwatch" observer estimated that the counter seems to increase by around 0.0038 percent every three minutes.
YouTube username Rykker added, that the site's source code seemingly indicate that the timer is being updated manually although the use of an outside script for updating is also possible. Nevertheless, the consistency of the timer led him and others to believe that Sombra will appear on October 16 or 17, iTechPost reported.
This led to several gaming fans speculating that Blizzard Entertainment could announce or launch Sombra in "Overwatch", although there are also rumors that another character named Athena could be release first before Sombra.
Athena in the game, will be sporting an Omnic body based from an old photo of the Overwatch team right before the organization disbanded. Her Omnic body will have a female shape with a single eye and a logo of her name on her head. It has also been speculated that Athena will likely be support hero within the game.
For now, Blizzard Entertainment has not made any comments regarding Sombra's release in "Overwatch" and will likely continue out new updates very soon.
In other news, a new "Overwatch" game tournament called the "Masters Gaming Arena" will have a price money of $75,000 up for grabs at its LAN finals.
While no dates have been set for the grand finals, a total of four teams will be able to qualify for the LAN finals in London. Starting out with online regional qualifiers in Europe, North America, and Asia, the three qualifying teams from each region will also be joined by one MSI sponsored team.
However, it is unclear what the selection process of said team will look like, but gaming fans are excited for the "Overwatch" tournament as their competitivenerss will attract new people and "Overwatch's" success could create new game tournaments soon, The DailyDot reported.
Blizzard recently launched a new patch update that features "Competitive Mode" season 2, a new game map and harsher punishments for online "rage quitters".
"Overwatch" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
