New "Final Fantasy XV" details will feature new driving mechanics and magic crafting gameplay, as well as PC version to launch after the console versions.
Square Enix showcased a 50-minute gameplay video for "Final Fantasy XV" during the PAX 2016 event as the Japanese video game developers explain what is new to the sequel.
As seen on the video, Noctis,Gladiolus , Prompto and Ignis are driving to the Balouve Mines, were players will partake in a dangerous sidequest dungeon at some point in the game. The mines are crawling with Goblins that are crafty and will steal potions from them. If the players are at low health for long enough, they may even use the stolen potions to heal themselves, rendering them unable to get the items back.
Square Enix introduced the magic crafting system, which allows players to customize several magic spells and items to create a powerful spell for Noctis and and the gang use. Elemental spells such as fire, blizzard, and thunder are used the basis for the spell, when combined can creat Fira, Thundra, Blizzara, but gamers can further enhance the spell by adding items such as potions, elixirs, phoenix down etc. to have additional effects on the spell.
Game director Hajime Tabata stated that the driving system for "Final Fantasy XV" has been improved as gamers can drive the Regalia on the opposite side of the road and will have damage mechanics when players crashed in to cars or objects. There is also Chocobo hoop racing for gamers who enjoy a good mini-game.
Lastly, the footage will feature Noctis and the gang infiltrating the another Niflheim base and they will encounter all sorts of mechanical enemies on the way. Tabata stresses that gamers will have to come up with different strategies againts them such as targeting different parts of their body for weaknesses, Gamerant reported.
Meanwhile, Square Enix to looks to put "Final Fantasy XV" on the PC platform soon as Tabata stated that the PC version is still under consideration, and they are focus on promoting finishing and releasing the sequel on the consoles.
Tabata added that he and Square Enix will be also looking into the upgraded versions of Sony and Microsoft consoles, namely the PS4 Neo and Xbox Scorpio, although Tabata admitted that he just heard of the new Xbox device and has not have plans for it, yet he is interested in it capacity and performance and will someday put "Final Fantasy XV" in it soon, Kotaku reported.
Squere Enix revealed the real reason for "Final Fantasy Xv" delay as Tabata cited optimization problems with various bugs and sudden frame rate drops. Tabata and his team will fix whatever problems that sequel has before its launches on November instead of making a patch update to support in on the first day.
"Final Fantasy XV" will launch on Nov. 29 for PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
