Actor Lee Jong-Suk opened up about his mega-successful drama "W - Two Worlds," which is slated to air its finale on Sept. 14. The 26-year-old actor portrays Kang Chul in the fantasy drama.
On Sept. 12, Monday, the "Pinocchio" star hosted a live broadcast through Naver's V app. He revealed that the entire cast and crew members successfully finished filming the finale episode of MBC's "W - Two Worlds" on Sept. 11, Sunday.
"I think I won't be able to talk about my feelings about the finale when the drama finishes on September 14, so I've turned on V for the first time in a while," said Lee. "Thank you for giving a lot of love to 'W' during this hot summer."
Lee added that the fantasy drama was harder compared to the previous worked he had done. Nonetheless, he stressed that the show is personally new for him, adding that it will be the start of something new.
The "Doctor Stranger" star stated director Jung Dae-Yoon, screenwriter Song Jae-Jung, entire cast members and his fellow actors worked hard on the drama's final episode. He added that he is trying to complete a photo shoot quickly so that he can head to "W - Two World's" wrap-up party.
As for his future plans, Lee revealed that he is already gearing up for his new project. He will next star in "VIP," an upcoming film espionage thriller film to be directed by Park Hoon-Jung.
Lee has been cast to play the son of a high-ranking North Korean official, Gwang-II, who is suspected of committing serial homicides around the globe, Soompi reported. It is said that the new role will require him to gain more weight.
Meanwhile, Lee successfully held the first leg of his "2016 Lee Jong Suk Fan Meeting Variety" on Sept. 10, Saturday. The meet-and-greet event took place at the Olympic Hall, Olympic Park, Seoul, South Korea, Yonhap News Agency reported.
Much to the immense cheers and excitement of more than 3,000 fans, Lee kicked off the event by singing the popular ballad, "Eat," by South Korean rapper Zion. T. Photos from the event were widely circulated on Twitter.
