The first "Injustice" game showcased the environmental effect within stage, which gave the feel of a real superhero fight scene. Although its impressive, it was shown to be minimal, but now NetherRelam looks to add more features by placing chairs, tables, punching bags and other objects that a player can pick up and use in fighting an opponent.

The interaction between character and object is also highly specialized, with the environmental interaction based on the selected character's personality. The characters can begin using their own abilities and powers throughout the game but if they win, they can acquire the enemies' abilities and special armors.

The plot of "Injustice 2" will take place after the first game as Batman tries to rebuild the world after Superman's One Earth Regime, while at the same time stopping the Man of Steel's loyalist in breaking him out of his Red Sun prison, unaware that an even greater threat is coming to earth.

"Injustice 2" will launch sometime in 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
