Capcom has unveiled a set of new images for "Resident Evil 7" that hinted of the scary characters that players will soon encounter in the game. Aside from the new photo stills, the gaming company has also revealed the bonus item sets for gamers who will pre-order the game.
Avid players of Capcom's survival horror first-person shooter game has been looking forward to the gaming title's latest installment "Resident Evil 7 Biohazard." The game has been slated for release in early 2017, although Capcom has recently announced its special set of pre-order in-game bonuses.
The pre-order bonus announcement has been posted on the game's official Twitter account. The image included in the said social media message tease of the five survival packs that some gamers may enjoy. One of the packs includes a burner set that contains cans of flammable gas.
Capcom indicated in its Twitter message that it has removed micro-transactions from the upcoming game. Many gaming companies have used micro-transactions to entice players to purchase in-game items to level up at a faster rate. It appears that Capcom has decided to remove the said feature from "Resident Evil 7."
On the other hand, some of the pre-order bonus items feature an ammunition-themed pack such as the shotgun set and the handgun set. The said survival packs contain bullets for the said guns. Meanwhile, the chem fluid set appear to contain a healing fluid similar to the recovery set. It also has two small canisters of mysterious looking pills.
Apart from the pre-order in-game bonuses, Capcom has also unveiled two new images for the upcoming game. The said photos obtained by Gematsu were released through the "Resident Evil" ambassador program.
One of the images featured a look at a dimly lit room while the other photo consisted of a gory "family" picture. The said picture showed three game characters in what appears to be a dining room. A feast of intestines has been laid out on the table as the game character Jack enjoyed dinner with Marguerite and a man in a hoodie,
Avid fans may recall that Jack was featured in the game's "Beginning Hour" demo while Marguerite appeared in the "Lantern" demo. The hooded character may be Jack and Marguerite's son, Lucas, accordinf to Games Radar.
"Resident Evil 7 Biohazard" will be released on Jan. 24, 2017 for the PC, PS4, PSVR and Xbox One consoles. Watch a trailer for the game below:
