The latest details on "Resident Evil 7" will feature more combat gameplay for the sequel and "Resident Evil 4" to be released this month for the PlayStation 4.
Capcom teased that "Resident Evil 7" will feature a combat gameplay just like the rest of the game series, but they will have to show it little by little in the process. Game producer Masachika Kawata told Metro that combat is still present, but it will not be as action-packed as the previous "Resident Evil" titles. Capcom will be developing the combat system one step at a time as many gaming fans are wondering if the sequel's combat is missing due to the content Capcom has been showing fans during the E3 2016, Gamescom 2016 and the demos.
It was previously reported that Capcom launched a new game demo for "Resident Evil 7" at Gamescom 2016 and gamers are introduced to a new hero Mia, as well as a new antagonist Marguerite Baker in the "Lantern Demo".
Gamers who have seen or played the new "Resident Evil 7" demo will encounter Marguerite Baker stalking the players as Mia tries to solve the mystery of the abandoned house before Baker caught her. For the most part, it seems as though the new "Resident Evil 7" demo is very similar to the "Beginning Hour" in terms of gameplay, except that it seems a bit more straightforward, and does not have any random, useless items like the dummy finger.
The new demo has something in common with the "Beginning Hour" demo is that the players will be reliving the experience of dead characters through VHS tapes, which will perhaps help them solve puzzles and survive in present time.
In other news, Capcom begun streaming gameplay footages of the HD version of "Resident Evil 4" for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
The first game footage features Leon S. Kennedy fighting the Plaga infested villagers in the village in the early part of the game, while the second video will feature him and Ashley Graham being chased by the cult of Illuminados.
"Resident Evil 4" will have a display of 1080p and runs in 60fps. The game contains all bonus content from the original game along with add-ons from the re-releases such as Ada Wong’s side story, New Game Plus, and Mercenaries Mode. "Resident Evil 4" will be released on PS4 and Xbox One on Aug. 30 and it cost around $19.99/€19.99/£15.99, VG 24/7 reported.
Capcom announced that more game details and a new playable demo for "Resident Evil 7" will be showcased at Tokyo Game Show 2016.
"Resident Evil 7" will launch on Jan. 14, 2017 for the PS4, PS VR, Xbox One and PC platforms.
