According to the report, Samsung will release the Samsung Galaxy S8 earlier than expected. It is because Samsung would want to recover from the Samsung Note 7's series of mishaps.
Every year Samsung is releasing a diverse line of products. However, the two products that are big hits are the models of Galaxy Note and Galaxy S series. As with the previous four years, according to Android Headlines, it has been the custom that the Samsung Galaxy S line is introduced at the early quarter of the year while the Samsung Galaxy Note line is unveiled during the last quarter of the year.
Perhaps, it would not change. But because of the Samsung Note 7's explosions, the South Korean company may be compelled to do something big like with the release of Samsung Galaxy S8.
As all the companies do, when something bad happens to their products, they often rectify the problems to recover from those quickly. The same with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, they are having desperate attempts to do quick fixes. However, because of its tarnished reputation, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 may altogether be put back behind.
Therefore, Samsung would be trying to clean their name and start again with a clean slate. Also Samsung is expected to be improving its products such as with the Samsung Galaxy S8-- to make up for trust lost caused by the Samsung Note 7's battery problems.
It is said that to make people forget about Note 7, Samsung will push forward the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8. The Korean Herald stated that "Regardless of the sales resumption, an earlier launch of a new quality flagship model seems to be the most realistic solution to dealing with the current recall crisis," Tech First Post reported.
Before, it was originally reported that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be unveiled on Feb.26, 2017. It is because as history tells, Samsung has been launching the Samsung Galaxy S the same time as Mobile World Congress happens.
However because of their predicaments, it is predicted that they would not unveil the Samsung Galaxy S8 during the Mobile World Congress but in either of the two options. Samsung could launch the Samsung Galaxy S8 during the Consumer Electronics Show that is annually conducted in Las Vegas or they could introduce the Samsung Galaxy S8 either in early January or in the beginning of February.
