Two days before the birthday of “Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki, at least half a dozen entertainment and gaming websites were headlining that the actor would propose to Song Hye Kyo.
The day passed and there was no marriage proposal that occurred. There is now an eerie silence from the rumor mongers who actually only cited one another and unconfirmed sources that the two Hallyu stars are in a secret relationship and planning a wedding. In adopting a fan mentality, these websites had deluded themselves and the public into the oldest trick in doing public relations work for a celebrity pair.
That is conjure all images of a relationship – even when there is none – just to sell a TV show or movie. Stretch also the truth a lot as well as the fans’ imagination into believing a secret, romantic relationship exists and wedding bells would soon peal.
Some websites even went one step further and concluded the two stars would be in season 2 of “Descendants of the Sun,” be parents, raise kids and even have bed scenes.
Only itechpost reported that the proposal never happened. But it acknowledged the two actors themselves remained silent during those speculative days and never confirmed any relationship, wedding plan, marriage proposal or even a birthday celebration. Now, to explain their failed prediction, the speculation is the couple had split which even gives a “good” explanation why “Descendants of the Sun” is allegedly cancelled, report The Gamer’s Drop.
