Besides the Sept. 19 birthday bash for “Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki, fans of the Hallyu star are also looking forward to seeing him on Thursday, Sept. 8, at the Seoul Drama Awards 2016.
However, on Wednesday, Soompi reported that Song Joong-ki and “Oh My Venus” actress Shin Min Ah are confirmed to be attending the event. There was no mention of Song Hye Kyo’s attendance, although previous reports state the two “Descendants of the Sun” performers are attending the awards night.
Soompi wrote, “Both actors enjoyed successful dramas this year, so it’s not surprise that the stars have been invited to the awards ceremony.” It cited the success of Song Joong-ki’s “Descendants of the Sun” and Shin Min Ah’s “Oh My Venus” which showed a completely different image for the actress through special makeup and characterization.
The entertainment website added the Seoul Drama Awards organizing committee had commented the two recently contributed to the love of K-culture and will shine brightly as representative Korean actors at the award ceremony which begins at 4 p.m.
With no mention of Song Hye Kyo, would fans of the pair – perceived as carrying a secret romantic relationship and believed to be planning a secret wedding – be disappointed if they do not see them together at the event? Fans, after all, not only expect to see them together but fantasize the two will make public their alleged relationship, reported Christianpost.
