'Tekken 7' udpate: Bandai Namco reveal new details at ESGS 2016 event; TGS 2016 Trailer streamed, PS4 Pro support teased [VIDEO]

Tekken 7 is a fighting game developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment as the ninth instalment in the Tekken series.

The latest details for "Tekken 7" will feature a new game trailer, a possible PlayStation4 Pro support and an appearance at the ESGS 2016 event.

Bandai Namco streamed a new game trailer for "Tekken 7" during the Tokyo Game Show 2016 event as the video highlights the growing Mishima family conflict and the old and new characters within its roster. It starts with the familiar confrontation between Kazuya Mishima and is father Heihachi as they engage in their last battle on the same volcano that Kazuya was thrown into.

There are also brief flashes of Kasumi Mishima, the wife of Heihachi and mother to Kazuya, who happens to have inherited the Devil Gene by unknown means. In addition, the trailer features the "Tekken" main stay characters like Jin, Xiaoyu, Asuka, Hwoarang, Paul, Law etc. Joining them are new faces like Claudio Serafino, Katarina Alvez, Jose Rizal, Lucky Chloe, Gigas, Shaheen, Jack-7, Master Raven and "Street Fighter's own Akuma.

Game designer Michael Murray tease a possible PS4 Pro support for "Tekken 7", but it yet to be determined by Bandai Namco. When asked about the PlayStation VR feature, Murray stated that they are still exploring the mechanics of it and will update them very soon, PlayStationLifeStyle reported.

In other news, Bandai Namco will be present at this year's E-Sports and Gaming Summit (ESGS) event on Oct. 28-30 at the SMX Convention Center , Mall of Asia Complex, Manila, Philippines.

“Tekken 7” will be part of the Bandai Namco Entertainment exhibit, where it will be playable at the company’s booth. It is unknown yet if Bandai Namco will give out any new information for "Tekken 7" during the event, but gaming fans are eager to find out what is in store for the game itself next month, GMA News reported.

Previous reports revealed that "Tekken 7" could have a cross-platform gameplay with PS4, Xbox One and PC. Game producer Katsuhiro Harada stated before the idea of having a cross-play features for "Tekken 7" is possible, explaining that it will not be difficult to do so and it was on board for consideration by Bandai Namco.

However, there are steps that needs to be done in order to make it happen. Hararda added that crossplay with PC is much easier than in the consoles. But, it also presents a problem as cheaters can create loopholes that can ruin video game experience to the gamers.

It will be up to the gaming community to decide if they want to go through with crossplay between both consoles and PC platform.

"Tekken 7" will launch in early 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and the PC.
