It is recently confirmed that a sequel for “The Incredibles” will soon be on the works.

"The Incredibles 2" is definitely in the works. More than a decade since the first film, Disney Pixar's family of superheroes will return to the big screen with an even bigger fish to fry. We've covered everything that you need to know about the animated sequel, which is set to hit theatres very soon.

"The Incredibles 2" plot

Production surrounding the film hasn't been creating a lot of buzz, but there are theories as to the potential "The Incredibles 2" plot. Many of the rumors suggest that the youngest member of the family, Jack-Jack, is a baddie.

In the first part of "The Incredibles," Jack-Jack's powers did not manifest yet. It was then revealed much later in the movie that his primary ability is shapeshifting, but it is also believed that he possesses several other powers. If his full potential is tapped, this would make Jack-Jack the most powerful member of the Parr family.

Jack-Jack's ability could come as a blessing or a curse, especially when he decides to pick sides between good and bad.

"The Incredibles 2" director confirmed

Brad Bird returns to the directorial seat for "The Incredibles 2." The movie project is Bird's return to helming animated films after gaining success in box office hits, such as Tom Cruise's "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" and George Clooney's "Tomorrowland," Cinema Blend reported.

"The Incredbiles 2" release date

"The Incredibles 2" is expected to come out in 2019, 15 years after the first movie's release.

Returning characters

All five members of the Parr family are definitely coming back, and even some of the characters in the original film. In an interview with Digital Spy, Samuel L. Jackson teased that he expects to return as Frozone in "The Incredibles 2."

Frozone was a loyal friend and ally of Mr. Incredible, and he was also the best man at Bob and Helen Parr's wedding.

"Every time I run into Brad [Bird, director] he always tells me Frozone is part of what's going on, so I have to believe that," Jackson stated. "I guess they could be the Incredibles without Frozone, but I think Frozone would be a wonderful addition to what's already there."

Although the Parr family can kick butt, they would definitely need reinforcement along the way. As a matter of fact, Frozone helped them defeat Syndrome in the final battle scene.
