Actors Andrea Barber, Jodie Sweetin and Candace Cameron-Bure pose with the Choice TV Comedy award for 'Fuller House' in the press room during Teen Choice Awards 2016 at The Forum on July 31, 2016 in Inglewood, California.

Good news awaits all "Fuller House" fans. Netflix recently announced that the second season of the hit family sitcom is finally hitting the airwaves on Dec. 9.

The streaming giant made the announcement after actress Candace Cameron Bure, who plays Dr. D.J. Tanner Fuller, broke the good news on ABC's "The View" on Sept. 21, Variety reported. The second season will be a full run of 13-episode.

"This year we got ahead of it and I think, out of the 13 I feel like there's already like 10 scripts done," Fuller House star and executive producer John Stamos told E! News. "The writers are really working hard over there and they're great."

Much to the delight of many, Netflix also released the official poster for the upcoming "Fuller House" Season 2, which features a bigger and happier family. It is said that the upcoming season will be holiday-themed, with episodes for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Eve and more.

The upcoming second season will also re-introduce D.J.'s ex-boyfriend, Nelson, with the character recast to be portrayed by Hal Sparks. In addition to that, the new season will have guest spots with the boy band New Kids on the Block, as well as the arrival of a freakish D.J. clone and the introduction of Joey Gladstone's (Dave Coulier) wife and children.

Uncle Joey's wife, named Ginger, is described as upbeat-enthusiastic woman and a magic-lover. She is also just as clueless as Uncle Joey when it comes to parenting duties.

Further, Jodie Sweetin, who plays Stephanie Tanner, will undoubtedly get a new boyfriend, named Jimmy, in the second season. Other details about the role are being kept under wraps. What is known is that Jimmy is a good-looking musician.

Created by Jeff Franklin, "Fuller House" follows a widowed mother, D.J. Tanner-Fuller, who work as a veterinarian. After the sudden demise of her husband, D.J. accepts the help of her sister Stephanie and best friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) to move in and partake in raising her three sons, 13-year-old Jackson (Michael Campion), 7-year-old Max (Elias Harger) and Tommy Jr. (Dashiell & Fox Messitt).
