'Red Dead Redemption 2' rumors: Sequel to feature online multiplayer gameplay; Release date set on 2017, PS4 Pro, Xbox Scorpio support likely?

Red Dead Redemption is an open world, western action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar San Diego and published by Rockstar Games.

New details for the rumored "Red Dead Redemption 2" will feature multiplayer gameplay, a 2017 release date and support for the PlayStation Pro and Xbox Scorpio.

Several rumors are making rounds regarding the possible features and release date for Rockstar Games' western video game sequel, "Red Dead Redemption" as the company's official career Twitter page tweeted that they are hiring candidates for an Operations Manager.

According to the job description, the chosen applicant will be handling an entire project lifecycle and that would also include the quality testing of for Rockstars' upcoming video games. The company are also looking for video game testers, which have experience using Xbox Live, PSN, Steam and Rockstar Social Club.

The interesting part in the job process is that gaming fans speculated that Rockstar will likely add online multiplayer options for "Red Dead Redemption 2" similar to "GTA Online" in "Grand Theft Auto 5". Another job post offered by Rockstar is a .Net Engineer and is stated to placed on a team that will focus in improving online gaming performance for Rockstar, GameNGuide reported.

In other news, it seems that the possible release date for "Red Dead Redemption 2" will likely set sometime in 2017 and there are also talks that the sequel will likely have a Xbox Scorpio and PS4 Pro support, iTechPost reported.

Another interesting thing to look forward to is the likeliness of "Red Dead Redemption 2" sporting a brand new name. Rockstar will pursue a road of changing the sequel's title, one that does not have the word "Redemption" on it.

Previous reports claim that the "Red Dead Redemption" sequel is called "Red Dead Tribution", while other fans speculated that it will be called "Legends of the West".

There are also rumors that that Rockstar Games will announcea HD remastered version of "Red Dead Redemption" and will also launch next year.

Korean game website GameFocus stated that the Korean version of "Red Dead Redemption" remastered would also be fully localized. The original game was not released in Korea, which resulted in copies of the game coming with translation books for the title’s full script in Korean, so that fans in the country could read along with the story as it occurred on-screen.

For now gaming fans will have to wait for more details from Rockstar Games regarding the status of "Red Dead Redemption 2's" development and possible release date soon.
