Apple could be unveiling the iPad Pro 2 soon or new variants of their large tablet that has been successful due to its specs and the Apple Pencil.
The Cupertino-based tech giant has recently unveiled the iPhone 7 and its variants but new iPad Pro models are a no show. Now, industry leakers are claiming that the company could already be building the new tablets with upgraded hardware and screen size.
Macotakara has claimed that Apple will be releasing the iPad Pro 2 in several variants including a larger 12.9-inch model and a 10.5-inch tablet with more or less the same specs under the hood, TechRadar has learned. Another smaller variant sized at 7.9 inches will also be available and could be the successor to the iPad Mini 4.
KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also claimed similar specs in the past few weeks but the smaller variant was supposed to be 9.7 inches instead of the 7.9-inch variant claim from Macotakara. There are no solid proof to back up the rumors yet but the analysts have a good track record of their speculations regarding the Apple products in the past few years.
The iPad Pro 2 could also feature a 12MP camera plus Apple's True Tone flash for better quality photos even in the dark, The Verge reported. Both the 10.1 or 10.5-inch model and the 12.9 variant will also get the 12MP iSight camera plus the Quad-speaker setup.
Macotakara claims that the 3.5mm headphone jack will be appearing in the iPad Pro 2 variants when they are released. Apple removed them in their iPhone 7 which sparked an outrage among users and critics saying that it was a wrong move for the company.
Apple could unveil the iPad Pro 2 variants before the end of the year considering that the predecessor was launched in 2016. There could also be a new version of the Apple Pencil which allowed artists to draw on the tablet with accurate sensitivity.
iPad Pro 2 specs and features will have to wait until Apple officially reveals the devices. There are still a few months before the year ends and the company still has time.
