Social media can be a valuable tool to remain connected with other people, share interesting information, as well as keep track of the latest news. Despite its many uses, "Running Man" cast member Song Ji Hyo has refrained from opening her own social media account to avoid potential problems.

The "This Week, My Wife will have an Affair" actress is one of the South Korean celebrities who chose not to share details of their life on social media. Song does not even have her own personal account in platforms such as Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. In an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine for its October issue, as cited by TV Report, the "Running Man" cast member explained her inactivity in the online world.

Avoiding potential problems from misinterpreted online posts is the main reason why Song decided not to set up her own social media account. It appears that the South Korean actress is trying to avoid stressful situations that some celebrities previously encountered.

Song also highlighted the challenge of having to deal with the aftermath of a social media post that may be misconstrued by other people. She described the said situation as unfair and would be very difficult to manage.

Some fans may argue that Song may still choose to open a social media account to share her travel photos or pictures of delicious dishes. However, the actress would rather take her time to enjoy the food or converse with other people rather than post images of her various adventures online.

In other news, Song visited Malaysia on Oct. 1, Saturday, to attend the grand opening of the shoe store Shoopen located at the Fahrenheit88 shopping center. Despite a five-hour wait, many fans gathered at the said mall as early as 6:30 a.m. to secure a good spot to see the "Running Man" cast member, according to New Straits Times.

Meanwhile, Song will play the female lead role in the upcoming series "This Week, My Wife will have an Affair" to be released on Oct. 28. Watch a trailer for the new JTBC drama below:
