Several dramas in the South Korean entertainment industry have featured cameo appearances by celebrities as a sign of support for a close friend or a respected colleague. Song is about to do same for Kim Won Suk, a former member of the writing team for the hit KBS series "Descendants of the Sun."
The "Battleship Island" actor will soon portray a special role in Kim's upcoming new production titled "Man to Man," according to My Daily, as cited by All Kpop. Viewers can expect to see Song as Yeo Woon Kwang, an assistant director whose short appearance in the drama will create an impactful impression on everyone.
Song will also share the screen with Park Sung Woong, one of the confirmed cast members for Kim's latest drama project. At this point, it is still unclear if the "Descendants of the Sun" alum will appear in the early episodes of the said new series. Filming activities for the new drama have yet to begin.
Similar to the hit KBS series, the episodes of the upcoming drama will be pre-filmed, as indicated in the same report. The series will tell the story of a popular actor and his bodyguard. Apart from Park, the new drama will include Kim Min Jung, singer and actress Chae Jung Ahn, as well as "Cheese in the Trap" star Park Hae Jin.

He and his co-star Song Hye Kyo also nabbed the Best Couple Award during the prestigious event.
The KBS series was even named as the APAN Awards' Drama of the Year given its popularity both in South Korea and other countries. Meanwhile, Song's fellow cast members Kim Ji Won and Jin Goo both took home the Best Actress and Best Actor Awards during the said event.
