Fans are still squanching on when the "Rick & Morty" Season 3 will finally air as they want to know how Rick will be able to escape of the prison that he's in.
The last season left Rick Sanchez finally in prison while Morty and the rest of the family are back in an alien-filled Earth where the creatures run the government instead of humans. Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon already showed a "Rick and Morty" Season 3 teaser where the former is shown to be a weird small creature fighting off giant rats as he tries to escape.
Another possible plot tool that the "Rick and Morty" creators are using in Season 3 is the divorce of Beth and Jerry, Moviepilot has learned. The two have been bickering about growing apart and several episodes have been dedicated to showing off their differences.
Harmon said in his commentary inside the "Rick and Morty" Season 2 DVD: "I thought that Jerry and Beth getting a divorce would be like Kenny being killed in South Park, like, when we first conceived the show... that it would never run out of shelf life that that was the kind of joke about like, oh all our parents were about to get a divorce."
One mystery that everyone has not been solved is the whereabouts of Mrs. Sanchez. Fans do not know whether she is still alive or why she does not appear in any of the alternate universes.
Rumors now state that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 will see one episode where Mrs. Sanchez might appear, Headlines & Global News reported. Harmon or Roiland did not comment on the rumors or confirm them in any way but there could be a huge possibility of it being true.
"Rick and Morty" Season 3 Release Date
Harmon confirmed that the new season of the show will be out before the year ends leading to many concluding that it could air in December at the latest. Fans are rejoicing as the showrunners also said that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 will have 14 episodes instead of the usual 10 or 11 from the previous seasons.
