The Disney musical romantic comedy-drama that is well loved by viewers is now back with "High School Musical 4." After a decade of long hiatus, fans are not giving up on their hope to see the main stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens together again.

Fans are expecting to see a reunion of Troy Bolton (Efron) and Gabriella Montez (Hudgens), and it looks like it is happening in "High School Musical 4." The former sweethearts will reportedly tie the knot in the forthcoming fourth installment and "High School Musical" movie.

It could not be denied that Efron and Hudgens still appeal to their fans. Their undeniable chemistry onscreens triggered the show's creators to invite them to appear again in the "High School Musical" fourth film.

Efron admitted that his personal issues with Hudgens were already settled. With things running smoothly between them, speculations are rife that their fans are going to witness their reunion in "High School Musical 4. "

There are rumors that Efron will play a different role as the coach of the Wild Cats, the East High basketball team while Hudgens will be playing the part of the Glee Club new adviser. Insiders have also reported that other original cast members such as Ashley Tisdale and Corbin Bleu will be appearing in the movie.

Neither Efron nor Hudgens has shed some light about "High School Musical 4." Whether it is only a rumor or not, their fans just have to wait on the latest developments of the high school musical drama.

The news about the Disney franchise was confirmed earlier in March. Disney Channel's "Teen Beach Movie" and "Teen Beach 2" director Jeffrey Hornaday will be directing the new installment while Peter Barsocchini will still be in-charged of the scripts along with Dan Berendsen.

"High School Musical is part of Disney Channel's DNA," E! News quoted Disney Channel President Gary Marsh as saying. "It embodies all that we stand for. As a way of continuing to embrace that heritage, we're excited to announce 'the start of something new' as we launch a search for a new class of East High Wildcats to star in a fourth installment of the "High School Musical" franchise.

On Oct. 4, Tuesday, the original High School Musical stars Efron and Lucas Grabeel were seen supporting their co-star Bleu in his latest Broadway stint titled "Holiday Inn." Their reunion is just in time when the news about "High School Musical 4" is making the headlines. Their get-together followed the official 10-year reunion for the film earlier in 2016 that Efron failed to attend, according to Cosmopolitan.
