Earlier this year, the cast of the "High School Musical" film including Grabeel and Bleu as well as Vanessa Hudgens, Monique Coleman and Ashley Tisdale reunited in Los Angeles to celebrate the movie's 10-year anniversary. Efron did not make it but paid tribute to the film by tweeting a throwback pic from 2008.

In the fourth installment of the "High School Musical" franchise, Disney will introduce new members of the Wildcats team and their competitor, the West High Knights. Disney Channel held an open casting call for the upcoming installment in April through an app where young singers, dancers and actors aged 14 to 17 could submit their videos, Billboard reported.
"High School Musical 4" will likely feature the pair of Efron and his ex-flame Hudgens due to intense public demand. The movie is said to have a storyline for the famous pair.
It is rumored that Efron and Hudgen's characters Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez will be married and start to build their family together. Bolton will coach the East High's Wildcats while Montez will teach and serve as an adviser of the school's Glee Club. Bleu is said to appear in the movie, as well.
Efron and Hudgens were in the original "High School Musical" in 2006 along with Bleu, Grabeel, Coleman and Tisdale. Efron and Hudgens' chemistry as an onscreen couple gained many followers. The actors fell in love for real but broke up in 2010.
To choreograph and direct the upcoming installment is Jeffrey Hornaday whose credits include Disney Channel's "Teen Beach Movie" and "Teen Beach 2." Peter Barsocchini will still write the script alongside "Hannah Montana: The Movie" star Dan Barendsen, according to E! News.
