'Prison Break' Season 5 spoilers: Michael Scofield revealed as ISIS member; Performs series' biggest escape ever

Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell will be returning in 2017 as the lead stars in "Prison Break" Season 5.

A few months away before the fifth season of "Prison Break" airs, several predictions are already making rounds online. One of the speculations involve is the biggest escape to ever happen in "Prison Break" since it started. This was confirmed by series' actor Dominic Purcell who will team up with Sara Wayne Callies to help Wentworth Miller escape prison.

In addition, series writer Vaun Wilmott already teased fans of what may transpire when he posted a photo of Michael Scofield on Twitter this week.

On the other hand, Purcell, who plays Lincoln in the series, revealed that the season comeback of the hit TV program will tackle issues that are present in today's society. "The show is taking place in Yemen; we're dealing with ISIS and ISA, and obviously we left off with Michael presumably dead," he told Deadline.

The actor confirmed Michael did not die from the last season, but instead, ended up working for the ISIS organization. The dilemma of the upcoming season stems from Michael's decision to stop working for the terrorist group.

When Michael cannot do it anymore, the group will decide to throw him in a prison at Yemen to change his mind. When he did not change his mind, they set him up and he ends up trapped in jail.

Purcell claimed that fans are going to be blown by the events that are about to happen in "Prison Break" Season 5. He also revealed that his and Callies' characters plan to get Michael out of jail will be the biggest escape to ever happen in the history of "Prison Break."

Meanwhile, Miller revealed details about the show's return in his interview with Digital Spy. He mentioned that one of the major changes present in the upcoming season is the expansion of the story's canvas. Since the series previously used the United States as their canvas, the program will go global this time for the next installment.
