Eminem news: Reports about album release and Montreal Tour 2017 only a rumor?

Eminem loses spot in Forbes list of 2016 top 10 celebrities.

Eminem's new album has been anticipated for a long time but has not been officially announced by the rapper yet. No new album has been launched since 2013 and the rapper has also performed in fewer gigs, losing his spot in the coveted Forbes list of top celebrities.

Eminem is one of the most popular white rappers the world of hip hop music has ever seen. As the fans wait in anticipation, his next album is neither announced, nor confirmed by the rapper.

Meanwhile, there is also news about Eminem performing in North America's largest outdoor club, The Beach Club, in Montreal, Quebec, next year, according to 99Scenes. However, until officially confirmed, this news may also be just another rumor.

Eminem's last album was released in 2013, "Marshall Mathers LP 2," that not only topped the Billboard charts but also sold more than 700,000 copies within the first five days alone. However, there were no reports of any albums in the works in all these years, until news about "Slim Shady" rapper's new album, "Roots," emerged.

Even though this news certainly appears promising, it is better to take the album update with a grain of salt, until confirmed by more reliable sources.

Meanwhile, the famous rapper has lost his Forbes ranking, evaluating celebrities' net worth, and currently sits on 18th position. According to the publication, Eminem is not only inactive in the new album scene, but also performed in only three gigs during the assessment period.

Between 2015 and 2016, Eminem's reported earnings were only $11 million which led to his removal from the list of top ten hip-hop acts of the year. Eminem was first inducted into the top Forbes' Celebrity 100 List in 2011 when he was amongst the highest paid artists and secured a spot at 71. But as of 2016, the famous musician's failure to release an album in six years and fewer live performances has led to his slide from the list.

However, it is important to note that even though Marshall Bruce Mathers, popularly known as Eminem, may have lost his ranking in the Forbes' list, he is still highly popular on social media with millions of loyal fan following. According to The Telegraph, Eminem's Facebook page is fifth most popular on social media platform, with 91.4m followers.
