‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 spoilers: Is this redhead Jon Snow’s new love interest?

(L-R) Actors Maisie Williams, Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner and Kit Harington, winners of Best Drama Series for 'Game of Thrones', pose in the press room during the 68th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

Jon Snow has been very single for two seasons now. Ever since then, Jon Snow has kept himself busy as the lord commander of the Night's Watch, and later plotting and successfully reclaiming Winterfell from Ramsay Bolton. Also, he was dead for a while and then brought back to life. Although he has won the war in the North, he still has his hands full. But despite all these, is Jon ready for new love?

Photos from the set of "Game of Thrones" Season 7 show a mystery actress filming alongside Kit Harington and Gwendoline Christie. Watchers on the Wall identified the actress as 19-year-old Megan Parkinson, who is reportedly Sophie Turner's body double.

Although she's sporting Sansa's signature braid, some have taken note of some features that suggests she's not just Turner's body double. Her clothes appear to be rather plain, which is contrary to how Sansa looked by the end of Season 6, where she was wearing her finest furs in honor of House Stark.

Another photo shows her being fitted with a belt, which may also be a holster for a sword. Although Sansa has shown great skill in war tactics and strategy, she's never been seen fighting in combat, much less wield a sword. It's unlikely she'll develop a liking or a necessity for sword fighting in "Game of Thrones" Season 7 when she already has an entire army ready to fight for her.

With that said, it is unlikely Parkinson is a body double for Turner. According to Newsweek, Parksinson's character is a yet-identified "16-year-old Northern girl," as described in the casting breakdown for "Game of Thrones" Season 7. The character is said to have a "high-stakes scene with leading cast members." The photos of her with Harington and Christie seem to fit the bill.

Jon Snow has been crowned King of the North, and it's evident in the past that kings are not supposed to stay bachelors for long. The mystery woman could hail from one of the prominent Northern houses or other houses across Westeros, and marrying her would forge an alliance with whichever family or region she's from.

Interestingly, Parkinson is a redhead. By now, it's safe to say that Jon has a thing for redheads, considering that Ygritte is one.

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 will premiere in 2017.
