Tool new album is expected to be released soon

The new Tool album has been rumored to come out very soon after reports surfaced that the band has been working non-stop in the studio for weeks, a report from Loud Wire confirmed.

As stated by the source, the band is expected to release the follow-up to their 2006's "10,000 Days" record anytime this year with reports stating that it may come out this winter.

Moreover, a recent interview with Tool drummer Danny Carey revealed how the band is working together in the studio, the official blog site of the band revealed in a post.

Carey also confirmed that they have a few songs recorded and that they are working on more songs so that fans should expect more of the signature Tool sound on the new album.

"[Danny] added that they were very close to knocking out another tune and that as soon as it was finished, they would send a recording of it to Maynard," the webmaster of the site revealed in the post. "When I asked if this was the song with the REALLY unique time signatures, he told me that they had already finished the music on that one."

While the band is keeping mum about their release, more details about the upcoming record surfaced in Reddit after it was suggested they could possibly have a 2.5-hour album, which might be called "Decum," a report from Metal Injection revealed.

According to the post, which was deleted, the upcoming release is expected to have 12 songs with an average of 12 minutes per song.

The alleged track list of the new Tool album are as follows: Abscissa (13:47), The Awakening (12:03), Gematria (Act I) (14:33), Regresolution (13:56), Divinotus (12:45), Astral (Act II) (12:21), Descending (13:53), Decem (12:22), Lesous (Act III) (12:43), Principles of March (12:01), Pascal's Wager (13:46) and Zeta (Act IV) (14:27).

Mixed reactions were seen throughout the post, as fans tried to figure out if the report they saw was legit or just another joke from the band after Tool tried to fool their fans with an April's Fool joke earlier this year.

Although the band hasn't confirmed any news yet, fans should expect the release of their upcoming album in the near future. Most fans are hoping that the record would come by November. More on Tool new album in the video below.
