WWE Rumors: Brock Lesnar expected to defeat Bill Goldberg at the Survivor Series

| Oct 20, 2016 02:01 PM EDT

Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg are face to face during their match at WrestleMania XX.

The rematch between Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg at the Survivor Series in Toronto, Canada on November 20 is all but confirmed. However, it seems like the WWE already decided the winner of the match and it is The Beast Incarnate.

The build for Lesnar vs. Goldberg II basically started when the first commercial for WWE 2K17 video game was aired. Goldberg was the star of that commercial with Lesnar as the game's cover. The two sides then continued taking shots at each other in several interviews.

Paul Heyman issued the challenge to Goldberg on behalf of his client, who wants to erase his WrestleMania XX loss. It should be noted that the two superstars faced each other in 2004 but it was an epic flop with Goldberg getting the win.

The 49-year-old former WCW star made his return to the WWE last week on Monday Night Raw to answer the challenge of Lesnar and Heyman. It was an emotional return for Goldberg and he accepted the challenge. He also revealed that his match with Lesnar will be his last.

On the other hand, Lesnar is set to appear on Raw next week possibly to make the match official at Survivor Series, per Vavel.com. The two are not planned to go face to face until the Survivor Series go-home edition of Raw on November 14.

According to Cageside Seats, the current and only planned outcome for the match is The Beast coming out on top against Goldberg. The plan is not expected to change unless the WWE feels like they need to make a swerve.

Lesnar has been unstoppable ever since beating The Undertaker's streak at WrestleMania 30. He is not expected to lose any matches until a suitable superstar will be put over. As for Goldberg, he is reportedly signed for only one match but that could change depending on the reaction he gets.

The former WWE and WCW World champion received a huge ovation last week on Raw and he helped boost the ratings. However, Survivor Series will be held in Toronto and Goldberg is not well-received in Canada because he ended the career of Bret Hart.

Nevertheless, many fans believe that Goldberg will headline the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame class. It should be noted that these are just rumors and should be taken with a grain of salt. Check out the video below for Goldberg's return last week.
