Chicago Bulls vs. Brooklyn Nets - Jeremy Lin

Jeremy Lin has a big task at hand this season when he tries to help the Brooklyn Nets win games as much as possible. In a recent interview, Lin took a shot at some of his former teams for not having great camaraderie.

"The teams that are close together are the teams that are more successful. Then, I've been in locker rooms where guys didn't always get along, and there's tension and hostility (that) cuts away at what you're trying to accomplish," Lin told Newsday.

The 28-year-old noted that his time with the Charlotte Hornets had a lot of chemistry that is why they were able to be successful and qualify for the playoffs. He did not mention several of his former teams such as the Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets and New York Knicks.

It might have been a slight to his former teams since he did not have as much fun playing with those teams compared to the Hornets. Lin has revealed in several interviews this offseason that last year was the best season of his career due to the happiness he felt in Charlotte.

In his lone year in New York, the Knicks did not make the playoffs while the Rockets made it to two straight postseasons but they did not make it past the first round. His stint with the Lakers was a disaster and the team failed to make it to the playoffs.

Lin only has great things to say about his new team despite many people believing that the Nets are the worst team in the NBA in the upcoming season. Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson, who helped Lin during his "Linsanity" season in New York, is confident that his starting point guard will lead the Nets to a great season and he even compared him to Eli Manning.

"He came off the bench in Charlotte last year and did a heck of a job, but this is a little different deal now. You're kind of the quarterback. You're the Eli Manning, those guys, so there's a different level of responsibility," Atkinson told the New York Daily News in an interview.

Lin is expected to be the focal point of the Nets offense along with All-Star center Brook Lopez. The Nets will open the 2016-17 NBA season on the road on October 26. They will visit the Boston Celtics at the TD Garden.
