The latest details for "Destiny 2" will feature new Guardians, subclass changes and gameplay setting centered on Mars.
Several rumors are making rounds regarding the first possible setting of "Destiny 2" as Bungie will likely take the sequel into Mars. Bungie removed a significant part of "Destiny: The Taken King", which plays in the vast space of Mars. If it happens, gamers will expect a familiar connection between the sequel and "The Taken King" expansion, GameNGuide reported.
Previous reports revealed that gamers complained about "Destiny" having small and lifeless environments due to the small server sizes and heavy instancing, which is very hard to find other players organically. The succeeding DLCs like "House of Wolves" and "The Taken King" attempted to freshen up the open-world experience for "Destiny, but it’s clear that the fundamental foundation was holding things back.
However, "Destiny 2" will no longer be constrained by limitations of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, thus Bungie will likely open up new ideas to expand the sequel as they wish, Some gamers wanted an full open-world experience and MMO style gameplay.
Gamers will get to see more interesting places on the planet they step foot on "Destiny 2" as to expand the stages and explore more ground instead of being confined to a closed and visible area.
More active environments are teased in "Destiny 2", instead of players going in the Tower or other social spaces between quests, they will be able to interact with NPCs and kick off activities in the active game world.
In other news, it seems that "Destiny 2" will likely introduce new Guardian classes and subclasses for the game.
Several gaming fans in the Destiny subreddit page are proposing a deeper, more RPG-focused class system that really makes each character feel unique. Having one subclass means more customization options.
Other games also requested for more background on "Destiny’s" three elemental types: Solar, Arc, and Void in the sequel. They wanted Bungie to change how elements work at a fundamental level in "Destiny 2" to which their only use in the first game is to either take out an enemy’s shield of the same-element, or be abused during burn modifiers, The BitBag reported.
There is no official release date yet for "Destiny 2".
