Four cities in the "GTA" mythos will be added to "GTA Online" with an update looks of San Fierro, Las Venturas, Vice City and Liberty City.

Liberty City is the equivalent of New York and has been featured as the main setting in "Grand Theft Auto 3", "Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories" and "Grand Theft Auto 4". Vice City is based on Miami and it appeared in "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" and "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories", and also heavily rumored to be a setting in "GTA 6".

San Fierro and Las Venturas are part of the whole San Andreas setting in "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" as the game's version of San Francisco and Las Vegas.

The planned expansion was originally made for "Grand Theft Auto 5's" story mode, but was scrapped by Rockstar in favor of "GTA Online".

The source of the rumor usernamed SOFTSECRETS claimed that these updates have been in production since the "Grand Theft Auto 5's" development, however, Rockstar had to be put off due to the limitations of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. If the rumor became true, then gamers could see a release of North Yankton (GTA's version of Canada) and Liberty City in the early months of 2017, Gamerant reported.

In other news, Rockstar Games has implemented a new and strict ruling against cheaters in "GTA Online".

Gamers who are cought cheating in "GTA Online" even if its a first offence will find their characters reset within the game. The second offence will have gamers permantly banned in "GTA Online".

Rockstar will be harsh against cheaters using mods, glitches and exploits in "GTA Online" as up to date. Recent reports revealed that players who have been using glitches and mods to gain extra in-game cash have seen their bank accounts drained by Rockstar.

In addition, all of the player's progress in "GTA Online" including properties and inventory will be reset by Rockstar. Several gamers complained about Rockstar calling the suspension and reset heavy-handed, suggesting that Rockstar has a track record of unfairly banning and suspending players from GTA Online due to its own automated anticheat system.
