IU, whose real name is Lee Ji-Eun, is gearing up for her upcoming solo concert. Dubbed "24 Steps: One, Two, Three, Four," the event will take place at Olympic Park's SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Bangi-dong, Seoul on Dec. 03 and 04, respectively.
"The upcoming concert is an opportunity to look back on the past 24 years of IU's life," FAVE Entertainment said in a statement obtained by The Kpop Herald. "She will also be performing never-before-heard tracks."
The entertainment label added IU will have a year-end concert to meet hundreds of her fans despite the fact that she had not released much new material this year. In 2015, the Kpop idol had a sold out concert tour, proving her immense popularity.
Hence, it is widely expected that the upcoming "24 Steps: One, Two, Three Four" event will meet with similar ticketing power. Tickets for the event will go on sale on the music site Melon starting Nov. 10 at 8 PM (KST).
Raising anticipation for the upcoming event, FAVE Entertainment just released the official poster for IU's upcoming concert through their SNS channels. The said promotional poster was widely circulated on Twitter.
IU, who made her debut with the single "Lost Child" in 2008, has also ventured into acting. She recently played the time-travelling heroine named Hae-Soo in SBS' "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" opposite Lee Joon-Gi.
During the "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" press conference on Aug. 19, director Kim Kyu-Tae cannot stop praising IU's performance in the historical drama. He admitted that the singer's energy on the set surprised him.
Speaking before a predominantly Korean crowd, as cited by Soompi, director Kim stated IU really did a good job of embodying the character. He added IU's artistic sense, ability to analyze the story and chemistry with other actors are truly exceptional.
"Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" ended up with impressive ratings of 12.2 percent on Nov. 1, Tuesday. Check out the finale episode here:
