Little has been said about the fate of the iPad Mini 5 but latest reports claim that the tablet is far from dead. In fact, it is expected to come out in March 2017, carrying similar specs offered by the iPad Pro 2.
KGI analyst Ming Chi-Kuo believes that the iPad Mini 5 will be out in early 2017, MacWorld reported. It will come in a thinner make and may very well be the last one to come out before it is integrated into the iPad Pro 2 line. Seeing that this would be the last one of its kind, Apple is expected to make it a special one.
Among the rumored features that the iPad Mini 5 may come with including an A10 processor supported by 2 GB of RAM. Storage options are expected to start at 16 GB and eventually move up all the way to 128 GB per variant.
The iPad Mini 5 could follow some of the changes made to the iPhone 7/ 7 Plus, particularly the removal of the 3.5 mm jack. If so, this could very well support the belief that the tablet will be also thinner, making it perfect to compliment the alleged 7000-series aluminum chassis.
Other notable features that the iPad Mini 5 may have to offer to include a 3D touch system, NFC, USB-C ports and IP68 protection, PC Advisor reported. There is no official word yet on what kind of cameras the tablet will sport as of this writing while the battery it may bank on is expected to be better compared to what the iPad Mini 4 had to offer.
As far as the iPad Mini 5 display screen is concerned, it is likely to offer the same 7.9-inch screen the iPad Mini 4 sported. Seeing that Apple is set to release iOS 11 in 2017, it is likely that the tablet may come out with iOS 11 installed.
Apple has yet to dish on what the iPad Mini 5 will have to offer and the important thing to note at this time is that at least one more iPad Mini is coming. For the meantime, check out the video below touching on the possible specs the iPad Mini 5 may possibly come out with.
