Apple revealed the iPhone 7 but many are still anticipating the iPad Mini 5 or the iPad Mini Pro to be revealed and it could soon be later in September.
The Apple Watch 2 was also revealed alongside the iPhone 7 and it garnered much attention and fanfare. Unfortunately, fans were still disappointed to learn that the iPad Mini 5 is still not confirmed yet.
There are even rumors that Apple will rename the said device to the iPad Mini Pro. Speculations also suggest that the iPad Mini will be released later this September but no solid proof was given yet, Headlines & Global News has learned.
Apple iPad Mini 5, iPad Mini Pro Specs
With the iPhone 7 maximum storage option raised to 256GB, the option is also expected to be carried over to the new iPad devices for 2016. It is now known whether there will still be a 16GB variant or if the models will also start at 32GB.
Another interesting iPad Mini 5 spec is the possibility of the 3.5mm audio jack being removed similar to the iPhone 7, Gamenguide reported. The decision has already received a lot of negative feedback from almost everyone including some of Apple's own loyal followers.
The iPad Mini Pro or the iPad Mini 5 could also feature the current A9 processor and not the A10 found in the newer devices. It could be shaping up to be a disappointment for some fans but the specs are not yet final considering that the Cupertino-based tech giant did not confirm its existence yet.
Others also expect that the iPad Mini 5 release date will be unveiled later this year in another media event from Apple. Fans are also hoping that it would have the same 3D Touch screen found in the iPhone 6s Plus.
More specs and features are expected to be confirmed when Apple finally reveals the iPad Mini 5 or the iPad Pro later this year if the speculations are true. The release date would also be unveiled but some are skeptical that the device will not be rolled out this year due to the lack of evidence.
