The latest Pokémon Go update bumped up the app version to 1.7.0, which as advertised by Niantic will mostly introduce the new Buddy feature. But the jump also included a fix that will prevent rooted Android devices and jailbroken iPhones and iPads from playing the game. The goal is to eliminate cheats and hacks.
But Niantic's latest effort seems headed for nothing as BGR reported that the ultimate hack of fake or simulated walking popular with GO players is still perfectly working. The software failed to zap the cheating tool that allows anyone to walk anywhere while not actually moving an inch.
The Pokémon GO creator has designed the 1.7.0 update to block players that make use of rooted or jailbroken mobile devices but the cheat tool does not require any form of OS modifications at all. So it remains working and smooth as a silk.
And the benefits remain. Easy hunting and catching of Pokémon and no sweat walking, which translates to collected items, hatched Eggs and evolved pocket monsters without the need to step outside.
The hack, BGR said, will allow players to fake location minus the likelihood of getting banned from the game, which is a measure that Niantic has been strictly implementing lately.
And since no rooting or jailbreaking is required, using the cheat tool is no pain at all. The chief requirement is but the installation of the modified Pokémon GO app and afterwards it will be unlimited roaming for players. They can anywhere to hunt even the rare Pokémon and the Legendaries.
However, the whole process of installing the fake app will need to be repeated every seven days. BGR said this is the small price to pay for enjoying the same privileges given by Apple to developers, specifically for those not willing to pay the annual fees.
Thankfully, an easy guide on such dirty work is made available courtesy of YouTube channel iCrackUriDevice that will only require minutes of viewing and patience to apply the cheat on mobile devices. The latter, by the way, will need plugging devices on a PC.
