"Master" is an upcoming South Korean thriller film starring Lee Byung-Hun, Kang Dong-Won and Kim Woo-Bin.

After playing a top celebrity in KBS 2TV's "Uncontrollably Fond," Kim Woo-Bin will star next in the upcoming thriller film "Master." Recently, the 27-year-old actor opened up about his dexterous hacker role in the film.

"I tried to interpret the character in my unique way," Kim told The Kpop Herald. "I focused on his mundane side."

In the thriller film, Kim plays the Section Chief of One Network named Park Jang-Gun. He is the mastermind and the brains of Chairman Jin (Lee Byung Hun), a fraudster-business mogul.

Sudden twists and turns are set to happen when Kim's character later clashed between Chairman Jin and detective Kim Jae Myung (Kang Dong-Won). It is said that Park Jang-Gun will become the linchpin in the cops-versus-robbers chase.

Directed by Cho Ui-Seok, "Master" offers a lens into the chaotic world of a crime syndicate and a criminal investigation team that is chasing them down. The film also stars Uhm Ji Won as Lieutenant Shin Gemma, Oh Dal Soo as Prosecutor Hwang Myung Joon and Jin Kyung as Kim Eom Ma, the advertising executive of the network.

In other news, Kim will become the next Hallyu star to release a smartphone under his name. He will be the model of Samsung Galaxy S7 phone, which will be released for a limited time on Nov. 21, according to his management agency, SidusHQ, as cited by Yonhap News Agency.

Much to the delight of many, the themed smartphone will come with various functions that include a morning call service, Kim's work schedule, and a personalized ringing tone. It will also include several emoji pictures and videos of the Hallyu star.

As per SidusHQ, Kim's-themed smartphone will be available for pre-order online starting Nov. 11, Friday. The money will apparently be donated to a certain charity that aims to help children with rare diseases.

"Master" is slated to hit the movie theaters sometime in December. Check out the trailer below:
