Tom Cruise, 54, will be paying a visit to tvN's popular talk show "Live Talk Show Taxi." He will reportedly appear as a special guest along with the show's hosts, Lee Young-Ja and Oh Man-Seok.
On Nov. 7, Monday, Cruise and director Edward Zwick arrived in Seoul, South Korea for the premiere of "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back," Daily Mail reported. As the Hollywood actor walked down the red carpet, many fans were amazed and surprised at how Cruise was looking far younger than his 54 years.
Wearing a finely tailored three-piece tuxedo, Cruise was welcomed by thousands of fans. The event reportedly marked his 8th visit to the country, with his first visit coming in 1994 while promoting "Interview With The Vampire."
A tvN official then claimed Cruise's segment for "Live Talk Show Taxi" was filmed on his way to the "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back" premiere. It is said that the show's staff had a hard time filming the Hollywood actor's segment.
"Firstly, there was so little time," a source told All Kpop. "It happened in a nice atmosphere, but we're not sure how it'd come out on the broadcast. We were even worried if he could take on the whole schedule because he is so busy with his plans, but just as Tom Cruise really wanted to visit Korea, it looks like he will successfully take on his whole schedule here."
"Jack Reacher: Never Go Back" takes after Reacher (Cruise) going on-the-run with an Army Major, Susan Turner (Cobie Smulders), who has been framed for espionage. The film, which was released on Oct. 21 in the United States, has grossed $111.9 million worldwide against a budget of $60 million.
Cruise's "Live Talk Show Taxi" segment will air on tvN later this month. Stay tuned for more updates as they arrive. While waiting, check out the official trailer for "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back" here:
