Another iOS 10 jailbreak released solo developer?

Apple CEO Tim Cook introduces the iOS 10.1 during a product launch event at Apple headquarters in Cupertino, California on October 27, 2016.

Pangu, a Chinese jailbreak development team, is yet to release the long-awaited iOS 10 jailbreak. However, a different hacking group has stepped up for the occasion and shown that it is still possible to jailbreak the software.

According to iOS Hacker, a hacker with the Twitter handle ijapija00 has shown a couple of videos jailbreaking the iOS 10.1 and also the first beta version of the iOS 10.2. However, the hacker is not looking to avail the iOS 10.1 jailbreak he developed to the public because he is not ready for any responsibility if other people's gadgets go wrong.

ijapija00 said that the iOS.1 jailbreak he created is "sometimes stable and sometimes not" and revealed in the video description that it just help in testing tweaks or "for personal use and is not ready to be released to the public at all." ijapija00 also stated that he patched the Cydia Substrate in his iOS 10.1 jailbreak by changing a library that loads the tweaks into the system.

He explained in his video that, "If we would have an un-patched Substrate for 10.x then I maybe would consider twice about this. But as long as it is patched and I do not own it, there'll be no releases!"

As for the iOS 10.2 jailbreak for the first beta version of the update, the hacker said that he will not roll that out to the public because of zero-day adding that he does not want to be responsible for the iPhones or iPads should they be messed up due to the software.

Although ijapija00 will not release his iOS 10.1 jailbreak software, his videos show that jailbreaking can still be done on the iOS 10 despite Apple's moves to combat the practice.

Meanwhile, Pangu remains silent about its iOS 10 jailbreak and with Apple's speed in updating its operating systems, it may not be long before the Cupertino giant stops signing the iOS 10.1. Apple just released the iOS 10.2 beta 2 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, BGR reported.

iOS 10.2 beta, previously availed to registered developers only for testing, includes several upcoming features like a preview of the new TV app, iPhone 7 wallpapers, Unicode 9.0 emoji, and new camera features.
