‘X-Men: Apocalypse’: Hugh Jackman Talks Wolverine's Role And Avengers/X-Men Crossover

Hugh Jackman will play Blackbeard in the upcoming film "Pan."

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is one of the most highly anticipated movies of the year 2016 and fans are eagerly looking forward to see Hugh Jackman reprise his role as Wolverine. However, the actor seems to be a bit unsure about his role in the movie as he is not familiar with the script.

Chatting with Collider, Hugh Jackman talked about his upcoming movies "Chappie" and "X-Men: Apocalypse." When asked about his role in "X-Men: Apocalypse," Hugh Jackman said he hasn't "read the script yet."

"These are one of those secrets that are between me and the big man who knows all, the head of the NSA. Not even the head of the NSA knows this one actually. How do you like that one?" Hugh Jackman added.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is said to be revolving around Mystique and Magneto's romance set in the year 1980. The movie reportedly may focus on the characters introduced in "X-Men: First Class" and will see the return of characters of actors James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and more. The film will be helmed by Bryan Singer and scripted by Simon Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris

Meanwhile, Hugh Jackman is positive about "The Avengers" and "X-Men" crossover. Speaking to Yahoo Movies, the actor said that he would "love" to see a tie-in between the two superhero worlds.  The actor thinks that "there is a possibility" the highly anticipated crossover will happen.

When asked which "Avengers" character he would like to see in "X-Men" movie, the actor replied "Iron Man" for as long as the character is portrayed by Robert Downey Jr.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" will hit the theatres on May 27, 2016.
