The new details for "Injustice 2" will feature two guest characters, a new demo and a beta version for the sequel coming soon.
"Mortal Kombat" creator and producer Ed Boon teased two possible guest characters in the DC fighting game sequel, "Injustice 2" as he tweeted surveys on which "Mortal Kombat" and non DC and MK characters will join the roster soon.
The first survey will feature three "Mortal Kombat" fighters that fans want to see in "Injustice 2" and these are Sub-Zero, Raiden, Johnny Cage and Jax. Sub-Zero won the poll by 52 percent followed by Johnny Cage at 23 percent, Raiden at 20 percent and Jax being the lowest at 5 percent. Scorpion made a guest appearance in the first "Injustice" game so it will be intereting how his rival Sub-Zero will do un the sequel.
As for the non-DC and Mortal Kombat fighter, Boon tweeted the characters could be Spawn, Hellboy, Terminator and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Spawn won the poll at 45 percent, while Hellboy comes second at 21 percent, Buffy third at 19 percent and the Terminator at 15 percent.
Both Spawn and Sub-Zero are proved to be fan-favorites for "Injustice 2‘s" guest character slots and could potentially make their way into the game, DC fans will be happy to know that NetherRealm Studios will continue to add more heroes and villains from the comic book publisher’s stable of iconic figures. As a matter of fact, Boon wants to make sure to confirm this by replying to a fan’s tweet to say “so many more” DC characters are coming, Gamerant reported.
"Injustice 2's" current roster includes Superman, Batman,Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, Supergirl, Blue Beetle, Gorilla Grodd, Atrocitus, Harley Quinn and Deadshot.
Other rumored DC characters include Booster Gold, Vixen, Lady Shiva, Black Alice, Matter-Eater Lad, Zoom, Grail, Doctor Manhattan, Swamp Thing, Starfire, Beast Boy, Red Hood, John Constantine, Black Canary, The Atom, Ra's al Ghul and Captain Cold.
Meanwhile, Boon answered a fans question about a possible new demo or a beta version of "Injustice 2" as he tweeted an answer saying that there is a "chance" it could happen.
No official word yet as to when NetherRealm Studios will announce or even confirm a new demo for the sequel. But gaming fans speculate that they will likely reveal more details at the PlayStation Experience event next month, PvP Line reported.
Previous reports revealed that "Injustice 2" could be delayed on its release date next year due to the apparent strike among voice cast members in the upcoming sequel, affecting the game's production timeline and launch date plans. The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists went on strike to demand changes to a two-decade-old contract.
It is speculated that "Injustice 2" will be release on March 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and quite possibly the PC platforms. However, NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. did not reveal any information yet regarding the strike and how will it affect the game's overall development plans and release date. In addition, the game will also be available on mobile phones via iOS and Android.
"Injustice 2" will launch sometime in 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
