Justin Bieber punches a fan in Spain prior start of ‘Purpose’ concert performance

Justin Bieber had an eventful week that included various performances across Europe for his "Purpose" concert tour, unveiling a new tattoo, as well receiving several American Music Awards. Recently, the singer was seen punching a fan on the face.

Many fans were shocked when Bieber hit a young man on the face on Nov. 22, Tuesday. The incident happened in Spain while the "Sorry" crooner was on his way to Palau Sant Jordi for the Barcelona stop of his "Purpose" concert tour.

A video clip of the incident posted on TMZ showed Bieber sitting in the backseat of a chauffeured car as it pulled into the security entrance of the concert venue. Given the vehicle's slow speed and the open window at Bieber's side, a male fan reached into the car to touch the Canadian singer's face.

Running alongside the vehicle, the fan almost had his whole arm inside the car window. The incident may have made Bieber uncomfortable since he reacted violently and punched the young man's face.

The quick jab bloodied the young man's lip and shocked many of the fans who witnessed the incident. Bieber's victim appears enraged and even showed off his bloodied mouth to his friends.

Despite the violent incident, Bieber's car proceed its entry into the concert grounds and security personnel did not appear to check up on the young man as shown in the clip. Neither Bieber nor his representatives have yet to comment on the news.

Meanwhile, Bieber was one of the big winners during the 2016 American Music Awards. Held on Nov. 20, Sunday, the musician received four accolades that included the honor of Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist for the year, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Bieber's music video for "Sorry" was named Video the Year, while the track "Love Yourself" received the Favorite Pop/Rock Song award. The singer's album "Purpose" was also recognized during the American Music Awards as Favorite Album for the Pop/Rock category.

Bieber is currently on his "Purpose" concert tour that is expected end in mid-June 2017. Watch the clip of the singer's violent reaction in Barcelona below:
