The latest details and spoilers for "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 will feature Martin Stein affected by the "Flashpoint" effect and Rip Hunter's return to the show.

It seems that Time Master and captain of the Waverider Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) will likely be returning in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 as cast member Maisie Richardson-Sellers told Cinemablend that Rip will be back soon, but he will not be the same as he was before in season 1.

Sellers added that Rip's disappearance during the show will be have a big impact in the plot details for "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2. Sellers also told the publication that he character Vixen will be seeing her old teammates from the Justice Society hinting she will see them on "12".

Previous reports suggest that executive producer Greg Berlanti hinted that Rip will return but will no longer be captain nor leader of the legends crew. comic book fans and viewers might see a reinvented Rip who has already moved on from the troubles of his past and now wants to enjoy his life. Co-showrunner Marc Guggenheim added that Rip's return to the show will a have huge twist on "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 as the viewers will first ones to know before the legends find him.

One of the clues for Rip's return will be the secret message that Future Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) left for Rip Hunter that only Prof. Martin Stein (Victor Garber) and Jax Jackson (Franz Drameh) only knew, which will likely be revealed during the events of the four night crossover with "Arrow", "The Flash" and "Supergirl" this week.

Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) is also set to return to "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 as a member of the Legion of Doom along with Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) and Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher).

Meanwhile, Martin Stein's condition in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 has something to do with the changes Barry made during post-Flashpoint. Martin keeps having headaches and visions of an unknown woman in his life.

Martin has no idea who she is in his life, but the fact that he felt that he loved her would change his history and marriage to his wife Clarissa. It is theorized that the woman in Stein's vision will likely be an aberration that Stein or possibly his younger self created during the events of 1987.

Apparently, the young Stein could have met someone new and the woman in old Stein’s visions could be this woman, MovieNewsGuide reported.

The Legends crew will be returning to 2016 to help Barry Allen/The Flash, Oliver Queen/Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), Kara Danvers/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and the rest of heroes in stopping the alien invades, The Dominators for destroying the human race.

"Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 returns on Thursday 8pm on the CW Network.
