Jim Parsons arrives at The Paley Center For Media's 33rd Annual PALEYFEST Los Angeles 'The Big Bang Theory' at Dolby Theatre on March 16, 2016 in Hollywood, California.

With the impending end of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10, CBS has remained silent about the show's future. Latest speculations hinted of Jim Parsons' potential exit from the comedy series given the actor's numerous projects.

"The Big Bang Theory" is close to reaching the halfway point for its Season 10 run, but news of its Season 11 extension has yet to be announced by CBS. The future of the show also remains uncertain given the looming expiration of the cast members' respective contracts.

Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik's respective contracts are set to expire at the end of Season 10. Given the comedy series popularity, a high-stakes negotiation is expected to happen between CBS, Warner Bros. and the show's cast members.

In an earlier press event, CBS President Glenn Geller told reporters that they were optimistic about the show's potential Season 11 extension. He indicated that Warner Bros. may be willing to sign on another deal to extend "The Big Bang Theory" for another season, TVLine quoted the CBS executive as saying.

Some of the CBS show's cast members have also expressed their willingness to join a potential Season 11 extension of the hit comedy series. However, some reports hinted that Parsons may not be renewing his contract for the show.

The comedy actor, who portrays Sheldon Cooper in "The Big Bang Theory," will have a busy schedule in the coming months given his various projects. Parsons' That's Wonderful Production is set to develop a new comedy series titled "The Monarchy is Going to S---" at Freeform, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Parsons will executive produce the new series, along with That's Wonderful Production co-founder Todd Spiewal. Apart from the said Freeform comedy, the production outlet also has several other projects in the pipeline such as "Lakeside VA" at ABC and The CW's "The Terranauts."

At this time, it is still unclear if Parsons will exit from the CBS comedy series given his busy schedule. The comedy actor, as well as the network, has yet to comment on the news.
