Apple Inc. keeps updating its iOS 11 firmware ahead of its release this summer 2017.

With the release of an upgraded operating system for Apple's mobile devices, it appears that the latest one for iOS 10 jailbreak by Pangu is not going to arrive anytime soon.

iOS jailbreaks are popular with those who want more customized options to their mobile devices. However, Apple has been averse to jailbreaks and is constantly putting up barriers to keep them from working.

When it comes to iOS 10, there have been rumors that Pangu has a working jailbreak and it will be released soon. There was even a date being circulated as to when the jailbreak from Pangu would arrive and it was thought that the team would want to bring it out during the holidays. With December already here, rumors have been gathering pace that Pangu will finally release the jailbreak that it had been working on since July of this year.

However, so far the team at Pangu has not provided a specific date for the release of the iOS 10 jailbreak, GottabeMobile stated.  This does not make sense since independent developers like Luca Todesco, have successfuly came up with his own iOS 10 jailbreak. Todesco even released a video that showed the jailbroken version of iOS 10; however, he refrained from making the code public.

Even though Todesco does not make the code for jailbreaks public it is widely expected that he might collaborate with Pangu when it comes to releasing one for iOS 10. Also, those who are hoping for a public jailbreak release for iOS 10 are being encouraged not to upgrade to iOS 10.2 which is expected to be released soon.

Apple has been busy pushing out beta versions of iOS 10.2 to developers and the public for testing. This week the sixth beta was delivered to developers, reported 9to5 Mac. It also arrived for the general public who has signed up for the testing program and it is widely thought that iOS 10.2 will be releasing a final version either this week or next.

All eyes are on Pangu and whether or not a jailbreak for iOS 10 will be released. Analysts are also speculating that as the public release of jailbreaks has fallen off, iOS is very secure and Apple has become adept at closing security loopholes which were exploited by teams like Pangu in the past.
