The cast of 'Arrow' and 'Flash' attend a special screening for the CW's 'Arrow' And 'The Flash' at Crest Theatre on November 22, 2014 in Westwood, California.

A lot has been going on for Grant Gustin's Barry Allen in The CW's "The Flash" Season 3. He has reversed the timeline in order to save his mom, which as a result has also affected the lives of everyone. In the massive crossover with "Arrow," "Supergirl" and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," Barry also battled aliens that were planning to take over the world. Now that that's sorted out, Barry is facing a more domestic problem: Savitar.

The first few episodes of the show anchored on building up Julian (Tom Felton) as Doctor Alchemy. It was also revealed that he is working for a certain Savitar. Not much of Savitar was made known back then, but now the secret is out.

It was explained in "The Flash" midseason finale that Julian has been blacking out since he went on an archaeological dig in India to find the Philosopher's Stone. At the time, Julian was mourning the death of her sister, and Savitar used this grief to lead Julian to the Philosopher's Stone, Cinema Blend reported. Savitar, through the stone, took over Julian's body and made him his minion. Julian did not have his sister back as Savitar promised, but Julian had already released the menacing speedster.

Barry's future self was the one who trapped Savitar in the stone, so now that he's free, he is definitely gunning for revenge and going after the superhero.

It is also explained that Savitar will be the one to kill Iris West-Allen in the future. Upon learning this, Barry once again flirts with the idea of meddling with time in order to prevent this from happening.

Savitar is the first known speedster in the DC Universe and is more knowledgeable about the Speed Force than the others. Because he has studied the source of his powers, Savitar has unique skills that other speedsters do not have, such as lending his powers to other people and even stealing the speed force from others, Collider reported. He also has super-fast healing abilities, which puts him at par with Marvel's Wolverine.

"The Flash" Season 3 airs every Tuesday on The CW.
