Attack on Titan

Hajime Isayama's Manga turned anime series "Attack on Titan" has grown to become one of the cult classics in the vast fandom of anime albeit the fact that its first ever season went out three years ago. Those who became an instant fan upon watching the post-apocalyptic animated series will be in for a treat next year as reports suggest that the highly anticipated installment of the show looms over the horizon.

Entertainment licensing company, Funimation announced a more specific release window for "Attack on Titan" Season 2. The company spilled that the show will premiere in April next year in Japan as they also made it known that they are the exclusive distributor of the series on U.S. soil, Screen Rant noted.

Furthermore, Funimation's Mike DuBoise expressed his excitement about such development saying that the franchise's avid followers are the ones to be chalked up to its success and they plan to air it on FunimationNow.

The company's founder and chief executive officer, Gen Fukunaga seconded DuBoise's statement and said that the series has indeed become a global hit among anime lovers and urged fans to watch out for the show's second season, says Comicbook.

Prior to the recent reveal, it was already unveiled a couple of years ago that the sophomore season has been ordered and was initially slated to be released this year. However, it's quite obvious that things did not go as planned, though, the gap may be somewhat filled with the release of two silver screen featurettes that gained quite a reception.

As of late, the Manga version of the franchise is in its 88th chapter entitled "The Attack Continues" where The Owl's Titan (Eren Kruger) has butchered the Marleyan troops and threw what remains of them into the sea.
